 Outdoor Track Rules Minimize

Please note these are subject to change should the racing crowd greatly object to any of the rules I've put forward.  I do think this is the best set of rules to accommodate everyone that races.  We use basic ROAR rules, but not as stringent.  Here's some basics that apply to all classes:

1/10 Nitro must run 200mm bodies, no winged cars like the Lola or Escudo.

If there are not 4 people to run in a class, we will combine people on the track, but subdivide the end results to have "class winners".  Kind of like how they run the 24 hours races at Daytona.  Different class cars on the track at the same time, but class results.  It also gets kind of fun when a lower class person beats out a higher class person.

1. Monster Truck: Same as last year, must have a monster truck body, and rims and tires. We did add in a minimum weight rule, 4 kilograms. Qalifiers will be 5 minutes, mains will be 10 minutes with a mandatory pit stop for all trucks.

2. Stadium Truck: Any 2 or 4 wheel drive stadium truck. This will be nitro and electric. Any motor, any ESC, limit to either a 7.4V lipo, or a 6 or 7 cell NiMh/Nicad. Any stadium truck/Short Course truck is allowed, and must have stadium truck or short course truck tires. Quals and mains will be 6 minutes.

3. F1: Spec HPI Formula Ten cars. Must run stock components on entire car. Only exceptions are front 1/12 springs are allowed, and front bearings are allowed. Tires must be stock, rims can be any color, but must be HPI rims. Motor is the HPI 27T Saturn closed endbell motor. Any brushed ESC is allowed, as well as any steering servo and any radio. Battery can be either a 6 cell NiMh/Nicad or 7.4V lipo, not to exceed 3500mah. Quals and mains will be 5 minutes.

4. Spec Slash: Same rules as last year. Trucks must be stock. Any 7.4V lipo or new this year, any 6 or 7 cell Nimh/Nicad. Tires must be factory spec stock tires. Bodies can be any Slash/Short Course Truck designed body. All parts must be stock with the exception of RPM parts for direct replacement of plastic parts, and you can run the optional black springs. Any oil in the shocks is allowed, as well as any diff grease/filler. Gearing is spec gearing, 23T pinion, with either spur gear that comes in the box. Motor/ESC/Servo must be stock. You can run any radio and receiver.

5. VTA: Same rules as last year, but we have an equivalency rule for the ESC.

Tekin 183 NO TURBO_ NO timing advance
Mamba pro NO CHEAT MODE
LRP SPX profile 4
LRP TC Spec profile 6
LRP SPHERE Comp profile 6
KO BMC TBD
SpeedPassion Software versions 091231 and any software start with 10XXXX are illegal
No Black diamonds whatsoever.

I will tech any car I deem to be violating the ESC rule. I will not be teching every car, but I'll know who's cheating. Any 21.5 motor is allowed. Any legal VTA body is allowed (if the 60's corvette by HPI is not on the list, we allow that one as well). Any new VTA style body that becomes available will be voted in/out by the VTA racers themselves. No FDR rule as well. VTA minimum weight rule 1450g.

6. Electric Sportsman: 17.5 motor, 7.4V lipo, any ESC on any setting, 190mm body (no wedges or Escudo), any gearing, spec tire. ROAR minimum weight. No breakout by lap, but we are going to put in a breakout overall time. This breakout does not disqualify the person, but it gives them a benchmark for which to shoot for to move up to the Electric Stock class. A person who hits the breakout time on more than one occasion will be highly encouraged to move up in the class. (I.E. guilted till the move up )

7. Electric Stock: Same rules as Electric Sportsman, but no breakout time.

8. Novice: Run what ya brung, get decently fast, then move into a regular class. We will be highly encouraging multiple time winners to move up in class, but will not be requiring them to do so till that person feels the time is right. Friends/family members will be turnmarshalling this class.
